Risa Griffin, MA

Research Scientist, Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity

Risa Griffin, MA is a Data Scientist and Health Researcher with more than 10 years of experience leading data collection, management, and use for domestic and international health research. Most recently, she led Health Workforce Data and Analytics for USAID’s PEPFAR programming. She previously held positions as a Data Analyst and Research Advisor for Ipas, where her work focused on abortion and contraceptive access, as a Senior Data Analyst for IPUMS Health Surveys in the Institute for Social Research and Data Innovation (ISRDI), as an independent Global Health Data Consultant. Risa holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies from Kenyon College.
