Cassie Navalta
2024-2025
Cassie Navalta is passionate about helping individuals reach their best health to pursue their life goals. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Temple University in Philadelphia, Cassie has worked to prevent health disparities and promote health equity. Cassie’s experiences as a community outreach intern in the Office of Congressman Dwight Evans showed her how government and policy can influence community health. Additionally, her experiences with youth in and out of the school system as a program facilitator with Girls Inc. and as a program assistant at Mary’s Center Youth Program reinforced her interests and focus.
As a graduate research assistant at the Center for Health and Health Care in Schools, she witnessed the positive role of community togetherness and how community-based resources help youth and families achieve optimal health. Her goal is to center families to create a community-level foundation of health by connecting communities to federal resources and relevant programs to leverage for health promotion.
